2006 July Meeting Minutes

The meeting began at 9:15 am. The area coordinator, George Gooch began with a welcome to all.

First order of business was an explanation as to why we were not having the charter signing today as originally scheduled. His discussion with the regional director, Al Baker and the outcome of that conversation. Due to Star Days, the Star organization is unable to accommodate a new date until late September. We ask the membership to give us input on a proposed date for the charter signing to be submitted to the regional director and the National office. Proposed dates at this time are September 23rd or September 30th. Please respond on the message board attention George Gooch.

George and Betsy attended the State Rally held in Charleston this year, had a wonderful time. There was a charity run, food, friendship, and prizes. Jim Ballenger from Chapter 124 won Best Road Star.

The Veterans Day Parade in Charleston is being held on November 5th and the State Director, Earl Preston, is recruiting bikes to carry state flags. If you are interested please message George and he will notify Earl.

Elections will be held at our upcoming meeting/ride on August 5th. The following nominations were made:

Official elections will be held August 5, 2006.

A discussion regarding a 50/50 was brought up and agreed upon. We will change the distribution to a 33/33/33 to accommodate our charity and treasury. This action was agreed upon.
