Blythewood Star Chapter 384

 Minutes of Saturday, February 3, 2007.

 The meeting began at 10:10 with President George Gooch presiding.  The new charter is being signed today.  Ride waivers are available for signing.  Remember a new ride waiver must be signed by every rider every year.

The Savannah ride is currently scheduled for April 6, 7, and 8, 2007.  However, at the time of this writing we find that that weekend is Easter weekend and we are currently looking for an optional weekend.  The weekend will be announced as soon as arrangements can be made. 

A charity ride is planned for Saturday, March, 3, 2007.  Since this is our regular meeting day, we will let you know when and where we will meet prior to the ride.  This benefit ride has been set up to help Cajun Cavallier offset medical expenses incurred after his hit and run.  Please see the details of this ride at www.sc-starriders.com calendar of events.

George spoke with the owner of Thunder Tower about connecting them to our website.  During the conversation he offered us the use of the Hog room for a meeting place when available.  We will investigate this further and perhaps be holding some of our meetings there.  Thank you to Thunder Tower.

Fred Garren announced that his church is going to arrange a Sunday service to Bless the Bikes and will let us know the date and time in the future.

We are currently working to raise enough funds to sponsor a child for Camp Kemo in June.  Please consider this when giving to our charities.

There will be no ride this month as the weather is a bit nippy for most of us.  We all look forward to the riding weather, soon.

The 50/50 collected $100.00.  Our winner is Danny Donohue.  Danny gave half of his winnings back to support Camp Kemo.  Congratulations Danny and Beth and Thank you for your generosity.
