August 4, 2007 Meeting Minutes Our meeting was held at The Southern Pig in Blythewood. The meeting was brought to order at 0910 by president George Gooch. Star Days: Eight of the states nine chapters attended Star Days, a great turnout. Seven of the eight chapters participated in the Feed the Children ride. A truckload of food and staples was delivered to the Partnership for Families in Chattanooga. Due to the participation within the State of South Carolina, Feed the Children will be sending three trucks to various locations within the state. Destination for the first truck will be Conway, SC on October 6, 2007. This is also our October meeting and chapter ride. The Myrtle Beach chapter also the Saturday for the state breakfast in Conway, puts it on. We encourage you all to try to find the time to participate in this event, as all of you have worked very hard to contribute to this worthy cause. Star Family Foundation: A charity founded and administered through Star Touring and Riding. Members helping members. This foundation has already assisted South Carolina chapters by helping the two riders from the Florence chapter after they’re near fatal collision in Myrtle Beach while riding to the Chapter Breakfast in the spring. The chapter presidents and vice presidents attending Star Days collected $3000.00 to aid the foundation and it’s mission. Both the silent auction and the live auction brought in more for both of the charities. Betty Garren is not with us this month, as she is feeling under the weather.
